Advertising Systems

Too many campaigns. Too little rhythm. We turned backlog into broadcast.

🔹 Expertise

Modern advertising isn’t about visibility — it’s about velocity. Rodale’s challenge wasn’t attracting clients. It was accelerating them.

When traditional publishers evolve into digital platforms, every second of delay costs momentum. This wasn’t just ad placement — it was systems architecture for influence. We built pipelines that let advertisers move from idea to live campaign without waiting on legacy bottlenecks.

If Rodale’s voice was the ink — we laid the rails for where it flows.

🔹 Brief

Rodale Publishing had a growing list of advertisers — but a shrinking sense of operational clarity. Campaign assets were submitted manually. Deadlines slipped. And cross-platform coordination (print, web, email) ran through five separate teams.

The result? Delays, errors, and a fractured experience for clients expecting prestige.

They didn’t need more bandwidth.
They needed a conductor.

🔹 Goals

  • Streamline the ad submission and approval process
  • Create a unified campaign launch calendar across departments
  • Automate repetitive tasks and reduce email chains
  • Improve client visibility into live campaign progress
  • Reduce operational dependency on legacy staff or siloed teams

🔹 Approach

First, we mapped the end-to-end lifecycle of an ad campaign — from client handshake to post-launch reporting. Then we created modular workflows that mirrored that lifecycle, centralizing approvals, creative asset intake, and internal communications.

We introduced triggers and validations to prevent delays (e.g., if an ad lacks required specs, the system flags it instantly). Calendars synced automatically across departments, and clients gained a dashboard view of their campaigns.

Rodale could finally scale — not by hiring more people, but by making their process intelligent.

🔹 Solutions We Offered

  • Campaign intake portals for self-service submission
  • Automated workflow engines tied to publishing schedules
  • Internal SLAs and alert systems to maintain pace
  • Executive dashboards with live campaign views
  • Integrated chat logs to replace bloated email threads
  • Role-based access for contributors, editors, and advertisers
  • Archive systems with built-in legal retention protocols
